the review:

explains glucose metabolism quite different. Nothing fits anymore.

hmm,

in the review the TCA-cycle was split into a lactate-TCA/ETC and a pyruvate-TCA cycle, thus lactate is the only substrate for ETC.
NAD+/NADH is discussed as coenzyme, which is assoziated to enzymes and not discussed as substrate freely swiming arround the cytosol.
The mathematic based on substrate/product concentration is questioned, because of protein-complexes. In protein-complexes the product of the first enzyme is the substrate of the second enzyme, thus the concentration of the intermediate product is infinite.
Arrows, indicating equilibration reactions are suspicious, because the flow of metabolites/energy just allow one way.
The review shows that nearly all regarding glucose metabolism found in textbooks is wrong, the review explains this by manuscripts older than most of the users of the forum. Thus nothing new, just ignored knowledge.

Think about that, Lester Reed published from 1960 - 1995 that pyruvic acid is substrate of PDH, who cares about that?
