Here is a cool tool for quickly narrowing down which foods meet criteria you set. It sounds like they're thinking of ways to add the entire USDA food database:

One thing that wasn't immediately obvious to me: you have to grab both ends of the filter bars to set a minimum and maximum value.

Here's an example run showing the starting point with all the foods:

followed by the foods remaining after choosing low fat, high carb foods with a lot of manganese:

I wonder perhaps that some alien planet hosts a more practical zinc food... Think of the shipping cost though.
