The German government has signed contracts worth around 3 billion euros with five pharmaceutical companies and vaccine manufacturers until 2029.

The German cabinet has signed contracts with five companies for "Corona vaccines" until 2029. This is according to a press release from the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG). The "Vaccine Production Taskforce" of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) had negotiated these "pandemic readiness contracts" for the BMG in recent months.

The five companies are BioNTech, the bidding consortium CureVac/GSK, the bidding consortium Wacker/CordenPharma, Celonic and IDT Dessau. Officials say: "The contracts grant the German government access to the companies' production capacities in the event that the Covid-19 pandemic continues or a new pandemic emerges, thus making provisions for the event of a renewed shortage situation. In addition to keeping production capacity on standby, the contracts include agreements to manufacture and supply vaccines to the federal government."

In a statement, German Economics Minister Robert Habeck said, "We have learned the lessons from the Corona pandemic and the initial vaccine shortage: With the contracts, we are securing vaccine production and supply for the coming years and taking precautions for citizens in Germany." He said the task force under his direction, headed by Christoph Krupp, has fulfilled its mandate with the "pandemic preparedness contracts." It expires on March 31. The Paul Ehrlich Institute will take over further administration.
Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach added that pandemic response works best with "decisive action, far-sighted planning and sufficient resources." "This insight from the last two years is followed by the agreements adopted today. In this way, we ensure that the population can be supplied with vaccine quickly in the future," the SPD politician explained.

The "newly created production capacities" would be secured by the pandemic preparedness contracts. The federal government expects this to cost up to 2.861 billion euros for the years 2022 to 2029. The BMG further asserts, "The internationally connectable pandemic preparedness contracts will make a significant contribution to ensuring a secure supply of vaccines from Germany's own production. This will also make a significant contribution to EU-wide and global vaccine supply in the medium and long term."

German Parlament wants to vote again in autumn about Vaxx . So this is not victory yet.
Yep, no doubt that they will keep trying (evil never sleeps).
Still this is a big victory nonetheless after the fearmongering campaign throughout the whole winter season and Scholz‘ announcement end of November that he wants the mandatory vaccination by the end of January latest.

Anyone who has resisted this until now can be proud of themselves.

Not to forget all the harassment: A negative test no older than 24 hours to enter your workplace or use public transport. No income if you must quarantine for two weeks because anyone with a positive test reported you as a contact. No non-injected guests/customers allowed in bars, cinemas, fitness centers, at the hairdresser, in shops except the ones that sells necessities (like food and soap) and and and. Severe restrictions as to how many friends or family members are allowed to come together if there is a single non-injected person in the group ... No nothing except working, eating, sleeping and paying taxes. Lockdown specifically for the non-injected for almost half a year. Add endless vilification in the media. They have tried very hard to outcast us.

I think they just picked the wrong time to vote. Covid is not that big of an issue anymore (outside of the ZeroCovid twitter bubble), and even the mass media can't lie about the situation to the point that it's dangerous in any way. I'm pretty sure that mandatory vaccination would have been passed if they had voted at the end of last year or the beginning of this year.

That's why I agree that it's only a temporary victory at best. Two years ago, the media, governments and NGOs were already pushing the narrative that vaccination is the only way out. Building on this, people were then told that the unvaccinated are to blame and irresponsible. This mindset is still in people's heads, even if they are currently distracted with other issues (for now Russians are the new "anti-vaxxers"). I think this topic will be back on the agenda next fall.

To believe that this is over, one would have to have confidence in CDU/CSU and FDP. And I would rather cut off my balls than trust these traitors ever again. Plus the mandatory vaccination for medical personal is still on, even if they don't go through with it everywhere (for now). In my opinion, this is a crime in itself, even if a general vaccine mandate for entire the population will never come.

Yes, maximum vigilance is still necessary. No doubt about it. Especially since we made Charlie angry now
But at least for the moment (and yes, things can turn around quickly) the outlook is much better compared to 6 months ago. I am looking forward to the summer now and hope we'll get a lot of global warming (=nice warm weather and not so much rain) to regenerate energy after this long dark winter (it is snowing here today ).

There is another announcement that reads "The federal government intends to, ..." "A formal cabinet decision on the matter will be made as soon as possible."

Panik-Kalle acting single-handedly again?

@Pompadour @Giraffe @Mauritio and who is living in EU
I am sure it is surely planned, however, I think it is impossible to finish by 2023.

Now they have changed this other announcement that I mentioned, and the manufacturers report that they have signed contracts. What an insane waste of money.

Even the German state-funded media is now covering vaccination damages. This news would have been a "no-go" a few weeks ago:

One result: eight out of 1,000 vaccinated people struggle with serious side effects.
Insane numbers. That's an incidence of 800 and much more than the average Covid incidence during the peak of the pandemic. And compare "serious side effects" with roughly 80-90% of people with little or no symptoms from Covid. Devastating.

By the way, the law for compulsory vaccination in Austria is still there but isn't enforced currently. This is the status until May 31. So from then on the law will be enforced if they don't decide otherwise between now and then.

Thuringia's (one of the federate states in Germany) interior minister wants to "consistently" classify covid deniers as right-wing extremists

Thuringia's interior minister wants to "consistently" classify corona deniers as right-wing extremists

In the past two years of the Corona pandemic, right-wing extremist - but also esoteric, Christian and left-wing extremist - circles have become strongly radicalized. In addition to opposing corona measures, many were united by the spread of anti-Semitic conspiracy myths surrounding the pandemic. Thuringia's Minister of the Interior, Georg Maier (SPD), has now called for sharpening the political classification of the "lateral thinkers" scene.
Corona deniers must be consistently assigned to the right-wing extremist spectrum, Maier told Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. "In the classification of politically organized crime, we need to sharpen up, especially with the Coronaleugner."

In Germany, anyone who questions the government's Covid measures in the slightest is a Covid denier. They will all be officially classified as right-wing extremists in the future, including me. Good to know.

And including me.

Hope more and more people will wake up and leave their comfort zones. Let me quote Chris Masterjohn here:

Staying in one's lane is immoral.

I've never been a fan of credentialism, but experience from the last two years shows that staying in one's lane is an act of cowardice and complicity as siloed experts have with priestly power acted as a wrecking ball to all good upon the earth.

Public health authorities and economists protected themselves with credentialism as they offered utter nonsense to justify lockdowns and monetary expansion that enabled the destruction of tourism-dependent economies and outright theft of assets in the trillions on global scale.

Not even end of life specialists were given a seat at the table to speak up for the elderly who spent their last year with no human touch.

Specialists in vitamin A should have been invited to collaborate with specialists in myeloid-derived suppressor cells from cancer research as early as June, 2020 when it was clear that they played an enormous role in COVID severity.

They were not invited.

The list could go on and on.

The moral thing to do was to object with all one's might to elevating a tiny handful of expertises to a table where the most profound decisions impacting the entire earth for decades to come were made.

This was asinine if it was not malevolent.

The death toll of these decisions will only begin to be felt after this year's harvest.

Look upon this and make a pledge to never, ever, stay in your lane.
