Can pregnenolone supplementation increase testosterone? What the research shows

Most of us are frequently looking for ways to maximize our testosterone.

Using prohormones to testosterone makes logical sense right?

Unfortunately, that's not the case at all...

Pregnenolone supplementation even up to 500mg daily doesn't increase testosterone one bit.

Interesting!

I think Pregnenolone follows more of the Progesterone pathway for me.

Progesterone may be brain and gonad protective but it absolutely kills my libido.

Not a lowering of libido....extinguishing it.

How much do you use? Do you take it orally? Are you in general sensitive to supps?

I am generally not sensitive to supplements although this could be one.

I've adjusted oral dosing a few times.

Large doses tend to cause alertness and small doses tend to just be calming and lower cortisol.

I was originally taking 50mg at night but that kept me awake.

So I changed the dose to 10mg at night an hour before bed and 50mg first thing in the morning.

Oral preg always ended up feeling like progesterone: a little better sense of well being but libido disappeared within days. This was low dose, too.

Pansterone felt androgenic, though.

What are your thoughts on the effects of sublingual vs oral?
Sublingual will likely have faster and better absorption, but also a short half-life. Perhaps you'll feel it mentally faster and stronger but the effects won't last all day.

It has a U shaped curve on the NMDA and GABA receptors via dosage and the antagonism versus agonism of these receptors via sulphate conversion (which oftentimes pregnenalone converts to

You're smarter than I am so what does that mean in terms of what dose should be taken and when?

Sorry, Frank, I am not following.
