What are you actually getting when you take pearl powder?

The most abundant nutrient is calcium for sure.

But other than that it claims to have antioxidants, sulfur containing amino acids, etc etc.

I’m actually hoping I only get mostly calcium out of it. Everything else would be in quite small amounts?

I’m quite sensitive to sulfur/sulfur supps like NAC/taurine.

I still eat meat, so it’s not like pearl powder could possibly have that high levels of sulfur could it?

Its just some marketing tool to toute its said benefits i hope

“If you plan on taking pearl powder internally, then it’s a good idea to check with your doctor first. While many praise its benefits, pearl powder is not without side effects.

Some people report feeling fatigue, nausea and gas when they ingest pearl powder. What’s more, if taken in large doses, your body may be subject to calcium toxicity. It’s easy to overdose on pearl powder without realising it. The safest way is to use pearl powder as a topical ingredient.“
