Good Morning!

I’ve been experiencing quite the amount of stress over the last few months. Mainly from taking high dose iodine in November for 6 weeks. It drove my cortisol through the roof, my TSH jumped from 3 to 15. & ever since than I’ve been trying to get back into balance.

Attached I have my latest micronutrient blood test. Along with my recent thyroid numbers.

I am on T4 only at the moment (always used to he on T4/T3 but I haven’t been able to tolerate the T3 AT ALL. Im wondering if its cause of my adrenals.

Anyway can you guys take a look at my
Bloods & see where improvement can be made over the next few months? I feel like I’m getting better time to time but would love to hear any ideas on how to recover mineral & vitamin balances correctly.

& how to increase this low sodium number! This is scary. I would always be around 140. This is the lowest I’ve seen it. Am i not tolerating t3 anymore because of this sodium issue?

What foods do you eat on a daily basis?

I think the reference ranges on these test results are oftentimes too broad, in my opinion. Normal does not equal optimal.

The middle of the reference range is a good target in most cases.

You could be a bit higher on some B vitamins like B1, B2, B3.

I think that the lower end of the reference range for zinc and copper is too low. Below 0.7 is deficiency according to my lab and I find that a good estimation. I think optimally both should be around a 1.0
Manganese is on the low side.

It would be interesting to see what you are eating and supplementing on a regular basis.

Do you suggest supplementing based off these? B complex?

Perhaps the iodine caused fluid retention - I recall reading years ago that supplementing iodine requires salt loading.

Perhaps stop the iodine and increase salt intake.

You should be getting plenty of nutrients with that style of eating. I don‘t even think that you necessarily need supplements, probably fine by just increasing foods. You probably burn through a lot of calories by your daily activity level, and with this you have a higher demand for nutrients.

Do you eat enough calories?
Have you ever tried tracking a full day of eating with „cronometer“? It shows you a macro and micronutrient breakdown of your food intake. Is very helpful in my opinion.

Beef heart has lots of B2. Muscle meat in general has lots of B3, B6, B12.
B1 is mainly found in plant foods like whole grains and legumes, but pork has significant amounts of it.
Zinc is highest in red meat and oysters. Copper is found in ruminant animal liver, oysters, mushrooms, cocoa and legumes.
Manganese is primarily found in plant foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Will adding more salt help retain it? Without peeing it out?

All your other minerals look good so I think as long as you are not drinking alcohol or taking medications that lowers sodium adding more salt should work. Don't drink too much water.

In the last year I've done 2 tests on increased salt intake, and both times my serum sodium went down. (I tend to have a low salt diet, so my increased salt intake was only to 2000 mg.)

Is your sodium back to normal?

Maybe due to nutrient deficiencies or pantothenic acid/other b vitamins, low thyroid function etc, your adrenals might be burnt out and sodium tanks when that happens

You may be doing a lot of sweating and losing salt that way too.
