Has anyone tapered off of Trazodone? Any tips? Perhaps some of Haidut's stuff to help?

How do I taper off of Trazodone?

Yes, I was on Trazodone for a year for stress and severe insomnia. It changed my life and I am forever grateful.
Once I was doing better and knew I didn’t want to continue with the drug I started cutting the pills, reducing by a quarter of the dose and staying on that dose for two or three weeks before my next reduction.
Basically, I weaned off very slowly and at low incremental decreases. It worked just fine and I have not used Trazodone since.
