HI,

I'm a 49 year old male (uk), always been fit, probably done way too much over the years in all honestly, cardio. Now less muscular. I'm trying to increase testosterone and lower oestradiol to help with that.

Hormone Blood results:

ALBUMIM 44g/L 35 - 50 R;
SHBG 63nmol/L 18.3 - 54.1 R <<High;
LH 10IU/L 1.7 - 8.6 R <<High;
OESTRADIOL 130pmol/L 41.4 - 159 <<High-ish?
TESTOSTERONE 17.7nmol/L 8.64 - 29 R;
FREE TESTOSTERONE - CALC. 0.237nmol/L 0.2 - 0.62;
FREE ANDROGEN INDEX 28.1% 24 - 104;
PROLACTIN 97 mIU/L 86 - 324;

Any advice moving forward, i currently eat all the normal stuff, no oils etc. Body temperate has really struggled to move up despite eating like this for the past five years.

Many Thanks!

Your free T is borderline, and with a high SHBG the obvious solution would be to lower SHBG. The best way to do that would be to lower your estrogen some. Trying some zinc (30-50mgs) and vitamin E (400-800iu) would be a good idea.

High SHBG usually leads to higher T, due to reduced negative feedback. LH that high indicates testicular insensitivity, possibly due to low T3 (you mentioned you struggled to get your temps up) and nutritional deficiencies.
From working with clients, eating "all the normal stuff" is usually far from optimal if there are no clear guidelines on the specific quantities for each food. Eating more nutrient-dense foods will increase T3, improve testicular sensitivity to LH and increase the testosterone-to-estrogen ratio.
