Pretty much like gluconeogénesis where the body makes glucose from protein and even fats?

If your gut count as body...your gut bacteria may produce conjugated linoeic acid, a pufa RP writes about positively. Though if you eat full fat grass-fed dairy or beef, you probably get a lot from diet already.

yes some in vitro studies show that some cells of human body is capable to de novo synthesis of pufas, other than mead acid. @tyw posted it.
