I don't know about standard dose, but Peat has apparently taken up to a few grams a day without observing any negative effect, while others here have had trouble with 50 or 100 mg, and prefer smaller doses.
IIUC, it's effects are fairly long lasting, so you don't necessarily have to take it every day.
Consider trying 50 or a 100 mg a couple of times a week, and see how it affects you, and adjust up or down accordingly?
