i want to calculate my intake caffeine.
So for example: you put 5 grams coffee powder (that is 162mg caffeine) into a coffee filter and throw some water through it
The coffee powders stays in the filter, but how much caffeine from the coffee powder is going through the filter into my cup?

Are you talking about "instant" coffee powder?

Apparently both roasts are pretty close in caffeine....

Probably somewhere between 7-10mg caffeine per gram of ground coffee.

An espresso machine would extract more, maybe 17mg caffeine per gram of coffee.

Obviously it depends on the grind as well. A coarse grind (like used in a french press) would extract less caffeine.

Water is efficient to extract caffeine from coffee beans, even whole green beans. That's how water process decaf works.
