It's a very weird time when the Propaganda arm of a corporation (NPR, funded in this case by THE UNITED STATES, a federal corporation), openly bashes it's CEO (in this case, President Donald Trump). Of course, if Trump is no longer CEO of THE UNITED STATES and instead, President of the republic known as The United States of America, this makes more sense.

Trump didn't roll over when the 'experts' once again give advice only to see non-NPR commentators expose the shallowness, narrowness, and emptiness of their 'expertise.'

Naturally, NPR has always relied on bloated talking heads to do the lying for them. Yeah, those with the degrees more defined by the crispiness of their diplomas and the pomposity of their Nobel Prizes.

I agree that it is weird that NPR is biting the hand that feeds them. But their funding is not all federal. see NPR - Wikipedia

NPR may find themselves in the crosshairs of the federal budget cutters. Alternatively, their future public funding may become conditional on them limiting their stories to non-political matters.
