Self-assembled Sperti Vitamin D Sunlamp

Hi everyone.

I've been interested in the Sperti Vitamin D Sunlamp, but thought the price tag was a little high, so thought I'd assemble it myself.

I purchased the "Replacement bulbs" off of Sperti:

Replacement Bulbs - Sperti Vitamin D Lamp

Replacement bulbs for the Vitamin D Lamp, model KBD D/UV-F.

I also got the Ballast specifications off of their website, and purchased 2 (1 per pair of lamps):
2 x IH2-UNV-270-T8

After connecting them, the lamps don't power up.

Anyone have any idea what may be the culprit/have done this before/know someone who may have done this?

Thank you for linking, I actually found this post on reddit, and ordered all the parts to build one as per this user's instructions.

Will try to sell the Sperti lamps and ballast on ebay I guess.
