What’s the source of that?
15.000 Ukrainian regular military encircled is a huge blow anyway, given how few competent troops they have

"Terminators" entered the battle in the Donbass.

The Russian army began to use the Terminator-2 tank support combat vehicles in Ukraine.

“Together with tank platoons, BMPTs are involved in the fire destruction of Ukrainian positions, armored vehicles, and crews of anti-tank missile systems,” the source said. According to the interlocutor of the agency, the participation of "Terminators" in the special operation will allow "finally to form the tactics of using these vehicles and determine their place in armored groups."

The experience of local wars and armed conflicts has shown that the greatest danger to armored combat vehicles in combat conditions in dense urban areas and on rough terrain is posed by hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers (RPGs) and anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs).

Based on this, the designers of Uralvagonzavod, on their own initiative, developed this combat vehicle as a means of covering tanks from fighters equipped with RPGs and anti-tank systems. The Terminator was created on the basis of the T-72 main battle tank back in 2001, and began to be used by the troops in 2011.

It is equipped with two rapid-firing 30 mm cannons, a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun, two AGS-17D automatic grenade launchers, and the Ataka-T complex, which includes anti-tank guided missiles with a tandem HEAT warhead (9M120-1) and ATGMs with a high-explosive volumetric detonating warhead (9M120-1F).

"Terminator-2" was first presented at the international military-technical forum "Army-2015", and began to be mass-produced from 2021. The main difference from the first model of the machine is the updated sighting equipment, which includes laser rangefinders, ballistic computers and combined television and thermal imaging channels, and the crew reduced from five to three people.

The military campaign in Syria helped to show the advantages of the Terminator, where the Terminator proved to be a universal means of combating RPG and ATGM crews in the cities.

German propaganda at Vnukovo airport: the Germans seriously believe that Ukrainian refugees and their life in Germany is the most urgent problem for Russia, so the level of analytics goes off scale.

BTW, this is a very common problem since very often Ukrainians or other Eastern Europeans work as Russian specialists, so the level of analytics is appropriate...

There is a lot of talk about who's winning etc without identifying the objectives of each side. The below video goes into the strategic objective for each side:

Russia's war goals are a magical and fluent thing. They change constantly in accordance with their latest disasters. We went from taking Kiev and eliminating the entire Ukrainian army to defeating Ukrainian forces in the east by encircling all of them east of the Djnepr, meanwhile taking Odessa to the mini-cauldron version with liberating only Donezk and Luhansk to "F**k this, can we at least get Severdonesk before we run home and hope our fools will believe 'mission accomplished'?

At least they guy is honest and acknowledges that the Russians had to withdraw from Kiev because they couldn't hold the territory any longer. That's already a big plus in my book, if you compare it to the usual Russtards and their "Kiev was just a genius distraction from our super special Zhukov suprise attack on Donbass that no one saw coming, and that puts even Manstein's sickle cut to shame.

I’m fuzzy on the debaltselve cauldron details. But I remember one day thinking that surely thousands of Ukrainian soldiers were going to die and then the next day watching them retreat. Does that sound like debaltselve? Doesn’t Russia electively open corridors for this to happen?

They retreated through a killing zone. A cauldron only has to be closed on 3 sides with fire control over the 4th side. Leaving an exit open facilitates defenders retreating from fortified positions and being exposed out in the open to artillery fire.

? Thanks, that helps with the cauldron imagery. And depending on the situation they’re spared, killed or captured? I thought the Debaltseve troops were just allowed to go.

Yes, the retired generals in the media have the Russian war goals as taking most of Ukraine in a couple of weeks. General Millie said something about taking Kiev in two days. All this is ridiculous, and probably some kind of psych ops.

Ukraine has the 2nd biggest army in Europe, & are well trained and battle tested. Their strategy is to fight for every last inch of territory, wait for more support & hope economic sanctions etc can stop Russia.
Putins stated territorial goals are liberation of Donbas & recognition of Crimea (landbridge will do instead).

Ukraine lost the war in the first five days, after that Russia had air, and thus artillery, dominance. Ukraine keeps feeding conscripts to the artillery, but that is not sustainable. The sanctions are inconvenient, but so far Russia is richer due to them while Europe is hit bad by the increase in energy prices.

Ukrainian leadership does what they are told, and in exchange they receive western citizenships and are allowed to loot from the billions being sent to Ukraine.

Russia seems poised to take Odessa too, because that would would deny Ukraine sea access and the gas and oil reserves. Which would serve the goal of demilitarisation of Ukraine by impoverishing it for a long time.

Russian pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Aleksey Stolyarov) on May 19 presented part of their prank with former US President George W. Bush at the New Horizons educational marathon of the Knowledge Society. During the conversation, the former American leader confirmed the work of the United States biolabs in Ukraine. The event was broadcast on the website of the society "Knowledge".

Pranker introduced himself as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and told Bush that the country had managed to preserve the American "legacy". He explained that they were talking about US-funded biological laboratories and asked the ex-president if he remembered this. Bush answered in the affirmative.

Then the prankster noted that the Pentagon finances many biological laboratories in the post-Soviet space and Ukraine allegedly managed to evacuate them so that Russia would not get them. "Good. Yes, you are a smart guy,” Bush replied.
