But back to Trump. Just because he is not a part of that political theatre--I think many think he is some great antagonist of it, some kind of hero. But he isn't. He is 100% for Trump and nothing else. Anything good, or bad, that comes out of that is accidental and irrelevant (to him). That is much worse than the status quo, IMHO.
I prefer a person who is 100% for himself. It means he is 100% for those things he values. Ask any successful person if he isn't 100% for himself. If he puts himself below his competitors because he isn't 100% for himself, he can't be successful. What you are implying about being 100% for oneself isn't a healthy approach to life. To be defined on somebody else's term is worse. To think being true to oneself is an evil is even worse. One can be true to oneself and be a leader. And to be a leader is to know that everyone else has aspirations that are like his.
The status quo cannot be better than that. To accept the status quo, as you seem to be doing so, is to lose hope.
