According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, 5 arrivals were recorded on the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP - next to the welding site and the storage of radiation sources. Another 5 - in the area of the fire station near the nuclear power plant. The building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was severely damaged. The strikes were delivered from the MLRS and heavy artillery, from the right bank of the Dnieper - from the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the settlements of Nikopol, Marganets and Tomakovka.
The shellingdid not end there. In the area of the storage of radioactive isotopes at the station, 3 more hits from the MLRS were recorded, after which the specialists were instructed to move to protected premises. In total, there were 13 arrivals on the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP. Smoke appeared near the station - the cause was damage to the high-voltage transmission line of the Kakhovskaya substation. Later, the fire was eliminated - "the line was grounded" and restoration work began.
As a result, the CAA of the Zaporozhye region confirmed that the strikes occurred in the area of the commandant's office of the facility, the welding site and the storage of isotope sources. The fire in the power units was avoided. The head of the CAA, Yevgeny Balitsky, emphasized that the militants deliberately hit the hazardous waste storage area, but “the radioactive background is normal, no contamination has been recorded.”

- The authorities of Zaporozhye have developed an action plan, up to the evacuation of residents, in the event of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a nuclear waste storage facility
- The authorities of Zaporozhye are ready to receive the UN Secretary General and the IAEA mission, ensure their safety and present all the evidence
- Kyiv deliberately aims at the nuclear waste storage facility at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to provoke the explosion of a "dirty bomb"
- Thousands of tons of radioactive waste are stored at the Zaporozhye NPP
Tonight (from 10 to 11 August) the Armed Forces of Ukraine made an attempt to attack the Zaporozhye NPP, but Russian air defense prevented the attack. Also, the Ukrainian military launched a strike from the Uragan MLRS on the nuclear power plant on the night of August 6-7 - then it turned out to be in the affected area storage of nuclear fuel.
