...LOY-001, is an injection-based treatment that targets a growth and metabolism hormone called IGF-1. This hormone seems to be size-related—it appears in higher levels in larger dogs and in lower levels in smaller dogs.
LOY-001 is designed for healthy dogs over the age of seven and above 40 pounds, and it would be administered every three to six months by a veterinarian. The company is also simultaneously working to develop a daily pill called LOY-003.
I would have posted a chemical description but don't see it online yet.

I still can't find the chemicals to post them. Maybe they're old chemicals that have been modified or repurposed. (LOY-003 is being developed to be taken orally while LOY-001 is injectable.)

IMO that it's being trialed for dogs doesn't mean it has no human application. Sometimes it seems like pets get more rational medical care than people do.

Haidut had some good posts on igf-1 and longevity.

Not meant to convince anyone - but, a IGF-1 inhibitor will very likely do nothing to extend lifespan of any mammal. Especially not healthy life span.
