Ideas? Ray’s Birthday is October 12th

That’s next Tuesday the 12th.

In the past I have sent him snail mail- even better this year knowing he’s an analog kinda guy.

But im feeling more tender and sentimental this year. About him. About our future. About life.

What can I do; or what can we do to truly thank him?

All ideas welcome.
Anything outside the box.

That thread we made of all the OJ and coffee and potato cars was fun.

Any creative minds out there to inspire us/me? We dont have a ton of time....

Ive been thinking about this too!

I dont know that he cares so much about material things, although what do I know. I think it may be touching for him to see how hes affecting the lives of so many. What if we forward pictures of our fridges, filled with milk, orange juice, liver, cheese, fruits, etc... Lol. Silly maybe, but Idk.

How about a collage of short movies where each of us states how our lives improved since we discovered his work? Like 10 sec each or something:)?

and a picture of our children and cats and ants too-
Changing our lives- and the lives of our world around us
Thats his legacy
He's made a better world...

Something where he could know the impact he has left on each one of us...

Do either of you have the time or skill set?

I can organize- but I work full time with kids- and I have no creative ability....

I emailed Ray and told him I wanted to get him something for his birthday but want to make sure it's something he wants so what he would like for his birthday:

I send him mushy cards and emails all the time.
By now you know what a sap I am.

Now he responds back!
“Great to hear from you again.”
“Always nice to hear from you.”
Etc

He’s a stoic; but the biggest softy irl I think.
Or I’d like to think.

Back to snail mail people!
Put your cards in the mail- but know he eats everyone up I deduct.

I want to add to that - the span of how many countries he has reached in the world.

Specific countries would be great- but if either one of you can give me a ROUGH ESTIMATE OF HOW MANY COUNTRIES ARE REPRESENTED ON THIS FORUM- that would be great to add.

There are 194 countries in the world. How many are represented here?

I think once this thread decides what to do - like for a video collage for example - I think the response would be a lot better if we made another thread titled "send your 5-10 second video message to ray" here to be compiled - for whichever idea is chosen i think this is good because from the thread list it seems like we haven't decided yet
