Extremely dry skin with a tendency for psoriasis requires special care. I currently have no symptoms except from dryness from the knee down and seemingly paper-thin skin all over my legs. The creams I've been perscribed with either have this exact ingredient list or a very similiar one (in some cases, there's added parfum):
I've looked for store bought alternatives, but all I could find were creams heavily reliant on sunflower oil, which is even worse.
Now, coconut oil alone doesn't work on my skin, it doesn't seem to absorb fully and it doesn't trap moisture. What mixture of oils or Peaty cosmetic product would actually do the job?
At this point, I can smell the paraffin in my cream and it almost makes me nauseous. On the other hand, tallow isn't something easily found in Europe and I'm afraid it might give me nausea as well. Tips and recs are certainly welcome!
