[For clarification and not debate, the term Socialism here refers to socialism, state socialism, communism, western democracy, collectivism and communitarianism.]

Here's how socialism works: Everybody gets safety and security -- but there's a catch. Everybody does not actually mean everybody. When Social Security funds start smacking up against the reality that a ponzi scheme always fails, well, we have to humanely early terminate some of the recipients so the others will be able to collect funds.

What it amounts to is that the lifestyle for a great bit of the earth is a system of micromanagement by financial interests.

Western democracies are not socialist they're neo-liberal.

Communism is a higher stage of socialism where society has no state, money or different social classes. There is no ponzi scheme in communism because there is literally no money to collect.

You're bogged down in the details. My purpose in starting this thread is to move away from pointless academic word carnivals.

Private ownership of family and competition are anathema to the collectivist spirit. Both are ordained of God though and he that opposes the proprietary component of the husband/father opposes God Himself.

Perhaps, we should go back to hunting/gathering when we lived in a harmony with nature and we obeyed the nature law. All the -isms lead nowhere.

Hunting-gathering led to the industrial revolution. Wouldn't want to repeat that mistake. We need to go back to the trees.

Hm, the way I see it or learned is that people lived via hunting-gathering for a long, long time. Then about 10,000-15,000 agriculture revolution started and then later, way later on it lead to industrial revolution. All of it exploited Nature left and right. We are completely detached from it and hence destroying it.

Yes, that is important to clarify. We live under Finance Capitalism, which is not "work hard and keep what you earn" but rather a bloated rent-seeking and manipulative scheme that doesn't benefit honest workers.

"That's horrible. Do something, someone!"

They pay taxes so they do something, instead of doing it themselves.

Then that someone ends up causing injustice because power corrupts.

Again: "That's horrible. Do something, someone!"

There's nobody powerful enough to defeat the tax-empowered monster. You have to do something. As you should have from the beginning, but instead you chose the easy way out and paid taxes for someone to do it for you.

There's injustice in the world. Don't rely on others to bring it for you. That's the original mistake.

Or just lift the cap on how much income we can tax that is around 142k now. Tax the wealthy and problem solved and how come nobody talks about the 5 trillion dollar bailout wallstreet received March 2020 while the regular citizens where left out to dry
