And commotio cordis can only occur if the heart as been previously damaged. The jab caused damage to Damar’s heart. The hit he took was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Damar was a local high school football player who made it to the NFL. Locally, people are watching for his return. "He was cleared to return to play during the offseason and appeared in preseason games for the Bills, but he doesn’t currently have a role on defense or special teams in Buffalo."
