I rarely post but I know this forum is filled with brilliant minds so hoping to gather some helpful suggestions. I was diagnosed with anal cancer in early 2020 (thought I had hemorrhoids but then the conversation veered off into weird territory with discussion about cancer). I am female and was 77 at the time but very active with a good business that I still work at and a large loving family. I was told this type of cancer is mostly HPV cancer and is sexually transmitted. What?... nobody told me I could catch cancer. I was told there is a proven treatment. But wait... It's an archaic protocol from the early 1970's with early chemo drugs and 6 weeks of concurrent radiation that's one of the most brutal cancer treatments ever devised. It's called the Nigro protocol and it does have a high success rate but not without lasting side effects. I completed treatment and was gradually recovering with frequent monitoring and scans and was in remission. Then in September 2021, a CT scan picked up a 2 cm nodule in the right lung. A biopsy confirmed it was Squamous cell HPV related. I went through 5 days of radiation and told this is 90% curable and that I would be monitored with scans going forward. Well, I just had a CT scan last week that revealed the original cancer in the lung is gone but now there is an enlarged hilar lymph node that everyone is concerned about. Doctors want a PET scan to see if it lights up... scheduled for next week. I feel fine except for some aches from radiation treatment. My energy level has never returned to normal since the original treatment.
I have researched til my head is spinning. I have been doing the Joe Tippins protocol since September with the use of Fenbendzole (dog dewormer). You can look this up on YouTube. Supplements: AHCC, Reshi mushroom, Curcumin, Berberine, French grape seed extract, Vit. D3 50,000/wk, K2, artemisinin, triphala, black seed oil, full spectrum CBD oil. Just started Protest E. I have seen dozens of survivor testimonials for a plant based, low sugar diet being therapeutic. I have read a study from the University of Texas stating that Squamous cell cancers particularly favor sugars for growth. I have read that methods to reduce estrogen could be helpful. Right now, I am eating a low carb diet with emphasis on lots of vegetable and fruits. I know this is not Peaty but I am desperate and not sure what is best to beat this beast down.
