I did keto off and on for 1.5 years and started gaining weight when I added carbs back in about 3 years ago. I put on about 30 lbs before my weight stabilized after 1.5 years. It took a while before I started losing weight and I only lost a few lbs. I tried cutting out starch and lost a little more. Lately I’ve been gaining weight again and I think it may be because I have been having pasta. Am I just starch intolerant now due to killing off certain bacteria? I don’t want to cut out starch forever because I used to eat it with no problem. Would gradually increasing starch help my bacteria grow back?
