I'm trying again for advice/ideas. For 2 years I've suffered from scalp pain. The ateries/capilaries or nerves may be damaged (I have no idea why) but when I touch my scalp it feels like there is grit or shards of glass in the tissue. I have hair shedding accompanying this. Does anyone have this and have healed it? Can blood supple vessels be healed? Could it be fibrosis? How do you heal tissue?

I've tried all sorts of things. My trials come and go.

Topical
Urine therapy
vit E
Emu oil (just starting this)
cayenne pepper
Peppermnt
natural shampoo
LLLT

Supplements
Thyroid
Lysine
Ginkgo B
Multi Vit
Vit E
Progresterone
Pregenelone
alfalfa
nac
tudca
collagen
nettle
ashwaganda
st johns wort
aspirin but not regularly as I feel sore in my gut
calcium
ADKE

I eat 6-8 eggs per week
red meat one time
veggie soups home made
green smoothie breakfast
coffee
oysters
hummous
parmasean (do you know an organic source where cows are not injected?)
chocolate
mollases
matcha tea
vegan gf oatmeal cookie 2 x week
veggies

I would be so grateful for help to heal this. Thanks

I’ve had this and healed it.

Doesn’t mean we had the same etiology- but there is a big chance we do.

Are you open to it being something you are not aware of?

How old are you?
Male?
What’s your height and weight?
Looks like you did a low oxalate diet.
What is your diet history?

Hey Peatful,

Thanks for reaching out.

I'm 53. Female. Never weigh myself but I have a neat, healthy figure. Yoga, walk every day.

Diet history.
Not great until 30 years old (alcohol, sweets, pizza, chips, English fry ups) then organic vegan until 50 (clean eating..very little junk, no snacking) then low oxalate and introduced eggs, beef (local, pasture raised, grass fed, no hormone), raw milk when i can find it, veggies, green smoothies, dark choc, coffee 1 x day, green tea 2 x day, herbal teas, became oxalate..ish) that's a rough scan.

So grateful for any help!!

Im sorry i didn’t ask for this earlier-
Do you know your waking temp?
Then after your morning breakfast- 20 minutes later in a rested state- your temp then?

If not it’s ok.

But assessment wise- that’s good objective data.

Thank you

I haven't done this for a while. I found it was low about 96.8 average so I started taking thyroid. I've not checked for a while but I will again. Thanks for the prompt.

So you know you are hypothyroid.

Btw- adding thyroid medication to a organism that is already depleted is an issue.

So there you have it:
You were a vegan for twenty years.
You are out of fuel so to speak.
Your tank is near empty.

Your scalp sensations- and hair fall- is a gentle warning sign that you are in a deficit energy wise.

How i remedied?

I ate.
I ate a lot.
Especially intentional about protein.
(Peat says that hypothyroidism could simply be a protein deficit)
Getting 100 grams.
Also keeping my blood sugar steady.
Settling my adrenals down.
Feeding my thyroid.

Thank you. And you healed it? That is so awesome.

Is 100g for small female too? Where did you get most of your protein? How did you steady your blood sugar? Can you please share more?

Thank you!!

Yes. I healed nearly everything- except a weak digestion from years of being stupid.
Decades actually.

80-100 grams is not a bad goal in general.

With my weak digestion- i tried every type of protein.
I personally found I enjoyed beef the most;
However, digestion wise- i think eggs, cheese, shrimp, white fish, and shredded pork i did best with.
Peat is a big advocate of gelatin of course.

Balancing blood sugar?
Do meals with macros of 40/30/30 or 50/20/20. C/P/F.

Stay away from a heavy liquid diet btw.

After each meal- 20 to 30 minutes- in a relaxed state-
Take your temperature.
If the temp is up- a good 97.9 to 99 degrees- that was a successful and nourishing meal for you.

Yw.

Give it time.
Be consistent.
You will gain weight temporarily-
But you will also be feeling better.

Hair takes a long time- i would say the three month mark you can start to reassess.
Hair fall will stop.
Then another three months for new growth to kick in

This is my experience only.

Reach out anytime.

Hi Peatful

I have a few more questions..

how do you work out your meal macros?
Do you use gelatin capsules or from boiling bone (Is there another way?) Is it high in protein? You Need to Eat Gelatin. Here Are the Reasons Why. - Chris Kresser this person said only 2g in 1/2 cup.

Also, I'm curious about the low liquid diet?

thanks :)

Many people on this forum do high liquid.

Juice. Coffee. Milk. Cokes. Etc.

I found :
- they didn’t satisfy me
- harder with BS regulation
- made my weak digestion weaker

Working out meal macros is laborious but worth it at the beginning

Cronometer is a good tool iirc
Or however dieters do it that measure and weight their food
Im sorry
It’s been years since ive done it
I think Kate Deering who became well under Josh Rubin -
I think they may both have macro tools

In case this can be helpful, in Danny Roddy's Generative Energy interview #15 ( NAD+/ NADH Redox balance), Haidut at 27 minutes; 24-27 seconds explains how vitamin k (K2) can decalcify a calcified kidney. Haidut also says he takes vitamin k with vitamin D (D3) in order to ensure the calcium he absorbs in food daily goes to his bones, not his soft tissues. I take idealabs calcirol ( vitamin D3) and kuinone (vitamin K2) daily and feel they are very protective against organ and blood vessel calcification.

Maybe you could discuss the dosage with other knowledgeable people for vitamin k to get the results that you are needing? A high dosage of vitamin k was mentioned by Haidut in that interview I mentioned.
