I’ve been taking it try and move out heavy metals but it does make me feel more serotonin symptoms. But I think heavy metals might also be inhibiting MAOA function so not sure what to do there. My serotonin levels are quite high

Another question just popped into my head. I read niacin flush will temporarily increase histamine by releasing it from platelets etc but lower it in the long run. Does niacin do the same with serotonin?.

Niacin lowers serotonin per this study:

Neurokynurenines (NEKY) as common neurochemical links of stress and anxiety - PubMed

"...The following NEKY have been studied: 1-kynurenine (KYN), 3-hydroxyKYN (3HKYN), kynurenic (KYNA), anthranilic (ANT), 3-hydroxyANT (3HANT), quinolinic (QUIN), picolinic (PICA), xanthurenic (XAN), nicotinic (NIC) acids, 3-indole-pyruvate (IPA), nicotinamide (NAM). NEKY antagonize the central effects of precursors of serotonin (tryptophan and 5-HTP), and tryptamine as well."
