Treating something as elusive, mysterious, complicated, soul-based and specific to a person's actual lived history/histories with a DRUG is ridiculous. This is definitely an area where 'Peating' is weak and wide of the mark in my view.
If loneliness is't as mystical and mysterious as idiot psychologists and religious people think it is, and is actually biochemical (in at least some cases) then treating it with a drug seems like the only appropriate course of action.
Ray's ideas are a counterbalance against the psychologizing and philosophizing of all facets of human suffering that goes on way too much imo
