first I would like to thank everyone here on this forum for all the great information.

I'm a 36 year old male and at 6' I currently weigh about 250 pounds. I'm quite muscular but also hold a lot of fat around the middle (38" waist- picture an NFL guard) A couple of years ago I did 6 months of paleo and was able to get down to a 34" waist and about 200 which is a great weight for me.
Unfortunately I began to get all the issues that go with paleo.
Hair loss, no energy, low libido, high prolactin, 309 test etc.

After reintroducing carbs I immediately shot up in weight and I feel like I gain a couple pounds every single day till now at 250.

At this weight/ body composition I feel terrible. I need to lose 30 pounds.
Before I would just cut carbs and increase hiit cardio and would lose it. Now I know the consequences of that

However the more I research the more confused I get. I don't know how to lose fat without releasing fatty acids. Etc.

Been reading haidut and Danny roddy
I even bought some of his supplements

Thank you again for giving freely of your time and I appreciate any advice

Hopefully I will be able to help someone as well in the future as i increase my understanding

That's the mentality! ;)

Let's wait for your labs.
TSH, total cholesterol and prolactin should be included. Imo this is the golden trio.

When your cholesterol is high enough you can try a small amount of thyroid to increase metabolism.

Daily coffee and coconut oil also helps with weight loss.

Welcome miamiman,

Thoughts from a non-expert who's never done more than a few of days of deliberately low carb:
Seems as though gaining belly fat easily is common during recovery from low carb or low calorie dieting. I don't know if there is a way to avoid that. It may just sort itself eventually if you can get your carb metabolism going strongly again. No guarantees.

I recommend reading/listening to Peat's articles and interviews - maybe starting with the ones on sugars and fats.

Want to spell out something more about your current diet? What and how much?

Just starting trying to peat recently

I ended paleo a couple of years ago

I have recently been eating a diet high in protein ( meats , chicken eggs)

Also a decent amount of starch from bread, pasta, rice
And I usually have a couple of glasses of wine at lunch ( I know but I'm Italian it's a cross to bear lol)

I just started taking
Estroban
Stressnon
1 grain ndt
Niacinamide
B-vits
Aspirin

miamiman, you still there?

I'm surprised more people have responded to this.

Hopefully this will give it a little bump.

Wish I had more to offer, but I'm in a very similar situation with very similar blood word.
