Interested to hear the preference most people have in relation to sources for caffeine...I do best on pills somehow. I love the taste of coffee, and do well on espresso, but about 25-40% of the time i drink coffee, i wind up crashing and with a negative outlook several hours after consumption. I consider myself a pretty balanced and healthy dude, so it bothers me and i keep challenging myself ha. Its strange. My father has some manic depression, and sister is definitely very complicated. She can't tolerate a sip of caffeine. While my energetic mother drinks 5 cups and is the picture of health. I tend to resemble her in more ways than one, so it confuses me that i dont always respond optimally.
I am going to run a liver enzyme panel, though i doubt this is the underlying issue. Is there a chance that underlying genetics could play a factor in reaction to coffee? It is strange though, because both espresso and caffeine pills offer no real problems.
