Currently where I'm at it's nearly impossible ordering supplements due to ridiculous customs issues. I do however have access to chemical suppliers through the local university.
Sigma-Aldrich, for instance, has a bewilderingly large number of options for each chemical. Can the chemists here suggest a good rule of thumb to assess the suitability of candidates both for oral and topical application when certifications such as USP, or Ph. Eur. are unavailable? For example, is >=99% usually good enough?
