I'm trying to gather anecdotal data on Epsom salt baths. As you may know, there is only one study measuring magnesium uptake after the bath, and it did find an increase in serum magnesium levels after a bath. However, no studies have verified its efficacy in treating anything, whether it be muscle pain, inflammation, or the like.
Many health bloggers suggest it works, but lack the citations and detail in showing that it actually does.
