Advice for Mental Alertness for Casino Games

A group of my friends plan to go to a local casino for an evening. Would appreciate any advice for mental concentration. Thanks.

Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean? Concentration for fortitude to walk away with profit or concentration to better increase your chances of winning e.g counting cards, poker percentages?

Breath work (meditation), high quality green tea (caffeine/theanine) and meals with a low glycemic load. Avoid gut irritation and foods that cause you brain fog.

Concentration to better increase of winning chances - focus.

Gambling is entertainment. All the focus in the world won't help improve the negative expectancy of the games, unless you exclusively play poker. Your chances of winning simply depend on two things, getting lucky early and walking away. The more plays, the more the house wins over time.

This is not all considered Peaty by any means, but when I need to lock in for a full day of work, I do this.


Lifestyle: cold plunge
Pharmacology: 50mg modafinil

I do not lift heavy on this day. Training heavy gives me brain fog.

Diet
Load up on fruit in the morning with some collagen
eggs around noon
incorporate milk towards the end of the day

Supps in the morning: b-vitamins, l-theanine 200mcg, bromantane 19mcg, piracetam ( 1/4 scoop-unsure how much this is).

Some of this is probably not healthy, but my stress drops a lot when I can get ahead of schedule on work.



Redbulls are fun when gambling. Only bring what you are comfortable losing.

L-Tyrosine for dopamine. AlphaGPC or CDP-Choline, up to 500-600mg. Stimulants are optional but will wreck sleep. L-theanine would help for calm alertness.

Good luck squeaking out an edge with 6 to 8 decks in play. Assuming you can do that without making a mistake, the pit boss is going to notice and kick you out long before you realize that edge. But on the upside, with that kind of skill you could probably trade for a hedge fund and make millions.
