The J Neurol study uses acetazolamide as well as Thiamine.
[5] Administration of the combination of thiamine and acetazolamide reportedly reduced the Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) and the Simpson-Angus Neurological Rating Scale (ANRS) scores of patients with tardive dyskinesia and parkinsonism symptoms

Thanks. I guess low CO2 is a primary driver of Parkinson. Thiamine is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor just like acetazolamide, so combined they are even more effective. I posted a study on thiamine and carbonic inhydrase here:
Thiamine is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor as effective as acetazolamide
Acetazolamide plus thiamine as treatment of mental conditions

Are there any known risks associated with such a high dose of oral thiamine?

Also any idea on what is a good source of pure thiamine. Already have energin which is great but obviously it does not contain as high a dose.

Finally any opinion if Allithiamine is superior to Thiamine HCL?

Do you know of any food-concentrates of thiamine? For example, we can concentrate vitamin C using fruit-powders - what extract concentrates thiamine?

Never mind found another thread where you talk about the differences between them

On a side note if one were to dose orally with allithiamine as opposed to thiamine hcl with the goal of getting blood plasma levels the same as the study you cited would it be better to take a smaller dose due to allithiamine's longer half life?

So instead of 1500mg every four hours perhaps 200mg per day, with the goal of after about a week one would see a build up of plasma thiamine levels equivalent to the 100-200mg IV dose.

Never mind whilst browsing through a thread I started in 2016 about Parkinson's disease I see that @haidut answered this question. About 100mg of allithiamine twice a week should have the same effect as the injections.
