Zinc acetate

What is the acetate form of zinc like? Would you recommend it?

Supposedly it releases Zn ions the best. A research paper I read found that of several forms tested only Zn acetate at >75mg reduced sequelae.

Life Extension has it. I've taken it as recommended at the outset of a cold. It does actually either stop symptoms or reduce the length and/or severity of the symptoms. I guess you could take a lozenge 3-4 times a week and get a decent immune response. But they tell you not to take too much of it. It's a pretty good product.
