Will Vitamin E Lose Potency Once The Capsule Is Opened?

Was curious if the exposure to air will degrade the potency of vitamin e (Thorne) as the serving for one capsule is far more than I would like to take so I open it and take a very minute amount. Will it lose its potency from being opened and sitting overnight or should I continue to take small amounts from the same capsule?

That is what I do. I sting a tiny hole into the gel capsule and take about 1/4 of a 400 IU capsule daily. Seems to work just fine.
