Yeah, unfortunately Mew mentioned that sometimes this kind of adjustment can lead to neck problems.

I managed to mess up my face by mewing. I pressed the tip fo my tongue on the roof of my palate driving it up while the front and sides came down. So now i hold my head up slightlt and my neck is out of balance.

Shows you how a little knowledge is dangerous

I would like to fix it but fixing something is harder than breaking it

Just breathe through your nose, don't do jaw exercises, and maybe get a little bit k especially mk4

I am very sorry to hear that. So your jaw actually angled downward? Do you breathe through your nose, even at night? Is your mouth/jaw closed? Were you only pushing on the palate with the tip of your tongue as opposed to the whole tongue? How long were you mewing when you noticed this change? Maybe you could try asking Mew about how to correct this.

@pimpnamedraypeat you didn’t tell me how to fix my problem ;(

You're pushing up and creating a hill in your palate. You want a plateau.

Tilt your head down slightly and you will feel your tongue rise up to push against your palate. Most likely the front of your palate.

Your tongue is attached to your neck. It floats in your mouth freely like a gyroscope. That means the position of your neck influenses your the position of your tongue.

If you can maintain a good posture from head to toe that will be key in giving you good oral posture. No easy fix unfortunately.

Do you have trouble keeping tongue on roof of mouth?

I was mewing a few years. Yes it grew down could also be due to aging. I breathe through my nose all day I assume at night as well. I use mostly the forward section of my tongue to mew.

Interesting. Right now I have a deviated septum so that probably affects me, with mouth breathing or holding my jaw loose/tongue down.
I wasn’t going to do anything til my nose surgery

Just FYI - My impression (from watching several youtube videos from the Mews) is that mouth breathing is one thing that pulls down the jaw. Some people have their mouths fall open at night and they mouth breathe. I think I would do this too, except I tape my mouth (just enough to keep it closed so I hopefully avoid mouth breathing - I can still breathe at the corners (if necessary) which I leave untaped). Not that I have good oral posture yet, but trying to get there.
