Why would someone shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane?

Is this a guessing game?
You hate the person and want them to suffer before they die or are trying to get answers from them. Shoot them non-fatally and throw them out of the plane.
You want to dispose the body in a remote location.
It's easier to throw a subdued man out of a plane than an unrestrained man.
Or is this a conspiracy question? If so, why would you try to pass off a shooting death as a death caused by falling from a plane? That is very unlikely to fly.
