Some are in the stress phase of illness and others in the crash phase.

I understand crash is the worse one.

I also noticed that ones that sleep a lot and are never refreshed tend to tolerate meds better, that's based on 3 women in my family

When I have a lot of back pain, it takes a long time falling asleep, and when I do it's because of exhaustion and I sleep long but wake up tired and grumpy, sometimes depressed. If my back pain is manageable and i go to sleep, I usually sleep less hours, and when the pain returns is usually when i wake up, but then it feels like I at least had 4-5 decent hours which feels a lot better than 8 bad ones. The optimal would obviously be to sleep good for the entire 8 hours or whatever
