Yep. I came to the realization that the goodness of NoFap is not in not ejaculating. It’s stopping porn. If you can’t masturbate without it, you didn’t need to masturbate anyway. It used to be something you did to relieve the pressure, so to speak, not out of boredom.

I agree porn does desensitize the brain to dopamine somewhat, but I’m not sure what does more damage. I think ejaculating multiple times per day regularly when the body is not in a high androgen and metabolic state might also be desensitizing androgen receptors. Might be doing something with pituitary overactivity as well with stimulating prolactin release when it wasn’t fully recovered from the last prolactin spike yet.

It doesn’t seem the male reproductive system evolved to ejaculate multiple times per day or even once per day chronically in a lower metabolic state and can become dysregulated. The caution for men to not excessively ejaculate goes back all the way into ancient history before anything like internet porn ever existed. Internet porn just makes it very easy to masturbate excessively.

Considering this I think recovering from excessive porn/masturbation should also consider ways to restore androgen receptor sensitivity and pituitary function.

I agree.

Not only is porn incredibly harmful, it's something usually sought out more heavily by people already in poor health, simply compounding their situation.

Try giving up porn and masturbation for one week. Guaranteed more androgenic feeling physically and mentally. if you jack off once in awhile big deal but giving the receptors time to become very sensitive is a real thing.

Have real sex and only use the hand when you actually feel intense pressure. Porn will destroy motivation and that’s the problem with today’s beta men with girlfriends that want and will have sex more then them totally backwards.

I'm not cheer leading for porn, but I find it interesting that we as a society have NO problem with our addiction to violence (for decades and decades). Every show, movie, or game is based around guns and killing, knives and stabbing, etc. You are vilified if you watch a movie with two people having sex (something natural and what life was predicated on), but you can watch all the blood and guts you want. The next time you watch TV or view movie lists, amaze yourself how we are fed the mindset that violence, etc. is entertaining, and,of course, won't brain- wash our children to think it is okay We glorify wars with movies, cop shows, and there is relatively no time in any show that some sort of violence doesn't occur. The school shootings and all the crimes you see out in the street didn't get their ideas from porn. I don't No-Fap, and I don't wack off several times a day, but I'll take pron over the mind poisoning crap that most of humanity seems to think is just okay.

Porn and masturbation is a sign of an animal trapped in a cage, doing everything it can to relieve the chronic pain/stress

How did you guys started masturbating in the first place?
Did you learn from others that you could masturbate? Did you see others masturbating?
At first was masturbating to images? Was it masturbating by looking at the night sky?
Have you started masturbating because you saw an involuntary erection?
I have heard many answers to this, but in reality it is quite hard to remember exactly why on how it started if it started very early in life.
