Why is magnesium pills so hard to swallow?

Seriously, I mean they get like stuck. It's magnesium pills that do this.

I always thought this too and ive been a supplement junkie over the last decade. These are one of the only ones that seem hardish to swallow and sometimes give me heartburn, no matter what form or source of magnesium I use. Any ideas why this is the case?

Well, if you want to get wooey about it, it could be that your body doesn't want extra magnesium so it battles swallowing it.

Or it could be magnesium pills are big.

I have seen some that are powder in capsules that are the same size as others so not as challenging.

Or maybe they float which makes them tougher to swallow if you tilt your head back.
