Are you seriously asking why the guy who just took over one of the biggest public companies in the world is in the news more than a former President, a former reality star, and a former Jump Street cop?
Because he did the NEWest and most notable thing. Duh.
I think we all know there are certain issues and topics that the Corporate/Mass Satanic Media can't talk about. But of the ones they can? Elon Musk has been the most newsworthy, by far.

Elon Musk is a narcissist and attention seekers, he wants to be at the center of attention both because it feeds his ego and because his companies thrive on hype and free media attention. He says very outlandish things to get the media to attack him, and maybe he tosses money at them on the side to keep the spotlight.

Depends on the journalist. Elon Musk is a grifter at best, controlled opposition at worst. Most in the media are probably aware of this and are doing so cynically, others genuinely think he's a threat, through The System's Neatest Trick.

Nope. Not a fan. Of either him or Twitter.
But, considering he is (publicly) the richest man in the world and buying one of the biggest (public) tech companies and the owner of an electric car company whose stock they want to pump, I don't think it's odd that he's in the (public) news.
Especially when compared to two people that haven't done anything relevant in a few years, and a former Jump Street cop who's on Divorce Court, with Judge Wapner or whoever.
