Is there a particular reason why Hypothyroidism causes a puffy face?

Does hypothyroidism increase cortisol? I always assumed it would be lower since thyroid increases cortisol.

Currently went off thyroid (was taking 25-50 mcg daily t3) now taking 12.5 mcg split multiple times throughout the day and last week (week 5) I'll drop it down to 6.25 mcg

Currently don't mind being a bit cold but I really can't stand my face retaining water.

From a Gilbert Ling standpoint, anything that reduces metabolism leads to less ATP/CO2 to structure the IMS, matrix, and cytoplasm. So the more crystal-like structure becomes more fluid. Also, when you don’t make as much CO2 things like H+, Ca+2, H2O, etc are no longer taken out of the cell. This basically creates a negative feedback cycle.

So basically raise c02 as much as possible.

I'm only hypo because I decided to come off t3 (wasnt hypo to begin with used it to aid dieting)

I thought alot of it had to due to increased aldosterone and high ADH.

Taking taurine calcium magnesium potassium lower aldosterone and salt but not sure what would lower ADH(antiduertic hormone)
