Which type of NO; inducible or endothelial? The former is involved with the inflammatory response and the latter, dilating arteries, capillaries and, in men, erectile function. You don't want to kill that.

which one does lysine inhibit. I want good endothelial function!

If you're still wondering, lysine inhibits iNOS.

Effect of L-lysine on Nitric Oxide Overproduction in Endotoxic Shock - PubMed
"L-lysine has no effects in the absence of endotoxin and thus appears to act as a selective modulator of iNOS activity."

There is a pharmaceutical variation of lysine called l-iminoethyl lysine which is a very specific inhibitor of iNOS but i think standard l-lysine is probably pretty close.
