Haven't read the article.

I discussed this theme with my nurse practitioner friend. She was saying that some stress is good for a system. It causes it to adapt, adjust, regroup, rebuild into a stronger, more healthy organism. She mentioned that it is not always good to stop inflammation - like in the case of a flu or cold - unless of course it is dangerous, life threatening, or chronic, etc.

This opinion rings true to me.
