Hey,

what is your opinion about monounsaturated fats (MUFAs) and foods that are high in them (i.e. olive oil, chocolate, butter)?

I have the impression that MUFA-rich foods make my acne worse. For instance, while eating coconut oil has not much influence on my skin, eating butter (even organic-grass fed), cocoa or olive oil (high quality unheated) seems to make it worse.

One facet of skin problems after eating something is that it isn't obvious how to tell if that thing is doing damage to your skin, or if it's increasing metabolism and increasing your need of nutrients.

Eating more fat litterally does nothing for my skin. Is has nothing
to do with your fat intake. Your body is very good at producing mufas from other molecules. Look at the okinawans, they have amazing skin and barely eat any fat. I average around 15g of fat a day and my skin is glowing.
