What To Eat After Blood Donation?

Does anyone have insight into what to eat after donating blood to best support the body in producing new blood cells while avoiding additional iron, which I'm trying to reduce by donating in the first place? While I am a supplement minimalist, I'd consider any supplements that would help build back my blood cells optimally.

FYI, I'm a 50+ male in good health who's been peating for over a year now.

Whole blood? Or plasma? Or double red platelets?

For the first two, lots of water, salt and sugar. You need to replace the volume lost, and the blood glucose and electrolytes. For the latter, just sugar is all you really need. Unless you are anemic or have some kind of blood disease (in which case they won't let you donate) that is all you nee.d

Whole blood, only.

Thanks for all the input. It's pretty simple, eh?
