Curious to know how all this metabolism work effects our thermostat setting at home during the winter. Is it better? Is it worse? Let us know.

Before I started messing with Ray Peat, I could only withstand a 70-71 F setting when at home. Otherwise, I was freezing and couldn't do anything about it.

I'm able to withstand a bit lower now--66 F--and wile it isn't perfectly comfortable all the time, I can actually handle it and I don't begin to freeze in my limbs like I used to.

73 on average. I used to do lower 60's but was admonished by various people here that this was not helpful for the metabolism, and I think they're right. Avoid cold at all costs when trying to recover a compromised metabolism. Now someone who is not hypothyroid can probably handle colder temperatures fine though.

We set the main heaters to 40F. (So I was not able to vote in your poll). Space heaters are then used in individual rooms to bring up the temp into the 50's 60's or 70's depending on the activity we are doing. I sleep without one.
