But does Ascorbic Acid convert to L-Threonate at all? The studies are interesting but I don't think AA and L-Threonate are one and the same and it's possible this DKK-1 inhibiting effect only happens with the latter. I have a Vitamin C serum and I'm tempted to use it on my scalp now..

It will convert, as long as it makes it to the cells. If using liposomes and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate the delivery is quite good. It's just that the effect size of DKK1 inhibition alone is not that great. It is one upregulated factor out of probably dozens if not more - there is a lot that goes wrong as a result of AR overactivation in the dermal papilla, not just DKK1.

I had some modest results on the frontal third with it back when my androgen receptors were less active. I still think it helps with maintenance, it just doesn't deliver much cosmetic results.
