How good is salt!!

I'm about to do a huge post on it soon (On my instagram).

Sleep is king.

Yeah, lol. I work manual labor in a warm environment along with the occasional workout. So I tend to lose quite a bit of sodium throughout the day. My friend always tells me "I knew you were gonna say that" with a good laugh when I tell him how I was feeling off, but was miraculously cured with a tsp of salt.

The best thing for me has been to stop overexercising and undereating. I don't think most people in the fitness world realise just how damaging this is. I did it for around 2 years with no breaks in pursuit of sub 5% body fat. I thought sheer willpower and time was all I needed to achieve my goal.

My starting point was 6' 1" 195lbs at 11% maintaining at 4200 calories. I foolishly dropped my calories to 2500 while adding cardio to my lifting routine. I ultimately ended up looking far less defined at 160lbs, not to mention that I acquired almost every symptom described in the Minnesota starvation study. Totally wrecked my thyroid too.

I became a coach myself. I teach various ways, using devices or pauses or walking with pauses. All to build and maintain air hunger.

Do you think some form of exercise, where you don't open your mouth and gasp for air, but build up air hunger and breathing becomes more "difficult", would achieve similar results?

I cured myself with forced boredom.

Being inactive for so long that at some point the proactive mind takes over instead of jumping on the easy train of reactivity.

Great contribution. Most people reading this will probably under-appreciate this comment, but I appreciate this because I think you're probably right. You talked about this on my log a week or two ago also and I agree. The last time I was got healthy and fixed my sleep and dopamine levels I accomlished it by zero TV shows and zero video games for a period of like at least 4 weeks.

Unfortunately despite that conversation we had, I'm still watching TV or playing games almost every day =(

#noTV and #novideo games is even harder than #nofap... damn... like no joke lol. I know it's an excuse but still... just gotta do it i guess

If you think about it, it makes sense. "Every day life" and "small pleasures" in life only release a small amount of dopamine. Nothing compared to novel TV shows or video games or porn. So when you start introducing super novel/exciting things on a daily basis the "small pleasures" are no longer pleasurable...
