What do you think causes "porn induced" erectile dysfunction, low libido and other mental problems porn users experience?

I think the superpowers thing is overhyped as well. What's weird is I have had 80 day streaks of no porn/no ejac with only a small/moderate libido improvement.

Do you clench you pelvic floor to get harder when you are choking the chicken? I think this is also a big problem for many porn users, including myself. I have developed a wicked pelvic floor tension from this that has hampered my sex life for at least 10 years. I developed this condition called hard flaccid first and then I developed an even worse condition where my pelvic floor muscles literally became all twisted up and literally strangled my d and contorted it. Spent years trying to figure out what the cause of this was.

Recently I have loosened up the pelvic floor a bit (long way to go still) and legitimately as my physical symptoms are decreasing so are my mental symptoms. And I'm still watching porn like a sicko. Libido is coming back too. It feels like a big part of the puzzle. Physical erectile dysfunction from pelvic floor dysfunction is a no brainer, as the muscles are involved with getting and keeping an erection. But, maybe having a chronic muscle cramp in the body is a strong enough stressor to release serotonin and give you mental problems and lowered libido as well. Might explain why some people watch porn and are perfectly fine and others get all screwed up.
Do you notice any changes with attraction or behavior of women on large streaks? I think there is something around week 2

No not really. The day after I do hours fapping is when I feel like a complete slob mentally and frankly when I look in the mirror at my appearance my face looks screwy too. Next day my eyes are beaty, watery and red. My eyebrows are contorted and not relaxed. They appear higher like I am surprised about something or in shock. 2 days after one of heinous fapping sessions I pretty much return to baseline appearance wise and attraction wise for women.

If I fap like a regular person for like only 10 min. Its really no change whatsoever I keep baseline.

i think in porn we develop an emotionless and effortless sense of control over the subject of our desire, and we maintain this from a voyeuristic POV. And then when we go to bang a IRL person, we return to the headspace of not being "there". But the issue is that real life stuff requires us to be an active participant, rather then distractedly thinking about things that arent there. Thats only part of it though, the other part is that we grip our weeners super hard during masturbation and jerk them aggressively while edging ourselves. The female touch is a lot more delicate and doesnt provide the same constant stimulation. And on top of that, with porn we scroll through pages finding the most sexy babes ever and choosing them, which our real life babes might not conpare too, even though we love them. Basically porn simulates a standard that is hard to achieve in real life. Idk the exact horomonal mechanisms, nor if my theory is even accurate, but at the end of the day porn makes real life banging less good, and should be avoided for that reason.
Yeah and the sheer number of women in the fantasia

Probably because a guy is watching porn alot and ejaculating a lot, that can make them lose their erection. Because it’s stimulating. So you are constantly ejaculating. Stop watching porn and your problem might be solved.

well some people say the super stimulus we get from porn creates a situation where our brain's reward circuits no longer respond to normal stimuli. It's like we used to read books and now we perpetually text so we have lost the ability to sustain attention over a long period of time. Same dealio. The ED is from the lack of stimulus we feel without the porn.

I guess I'm just curious what the mechanism is that's causing it not to respond to normal stimuli. It was previously supposed to be down regulation of the dopamine receptors as is the case when abusing dopaminergic/stimulant substances. But that has been disproven by this most recent study. So I'm puzzled.

I had an idea that in the days of porn magazines, the magazines chose the women but now men can hunt for what they desire in terms of female form because of the sheer variety available online which raises the bar for what stimulates them. What is at their disposal in the real world isn't always reflective of what truly stimulates them.

We have recently found out that the dopamine d2/d3 receptor downregulation is a myth.

So what would it be you think?

there are guys who have the issues you mentioned but guys who don't, I think the porn is being blamed when its actually just the standard environmental and dietary toxins and supplements, pharma drugs, vaccines, and etc. Fatigue might be a temporary effect of MO and O for everyone.
actually just watching porn shouldn't have any significant hormonal effects, it stimulates dopamine because of the variety, it's not a dopamine rush like cocaine its more like different flavors of ice cream. and I doubt even the MO part messes with dopamine or has long term physical side effects. the thing is people who are in poor health metabolically aren't even able to perform well and do any crazy PMOing whereas someone in peak health is actually able to perform insane PMOing.

To barge in here with my female opinion, I don’t think there needs to be a fundamental downregulation of baseline dopamine levels for the “super stimulus” factor to be an issue. I mean it’s kind of just common sense, it applies to all domains of life. If you train your brain (in perhaps the most aggressive Pavlovian way possible) to think a Lamborghini is an average car and that it’s normal to own 70 of them, then a 2018 Honda Civic seems not only normal but junky, to use an unbelievably dehumanizing analogy ;) the situational inducible dopamine in sex is likely downregulated which the study did not measure. Then if you feel bad about doing it that affects all areas of your life as well. That it is a compulsion speaks for itself. Additionally I think it’s normal for some people to be more sensitive to the downsides of things than others. Some people are just more sensitive, period, and this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. They can be a canary in a coal mine. Ultimately sex is supposed to be a social act, a relational act, not an alienating lonely one.

Some who think they root issue is porn may be actually experiencing symptoms from orgasm/ejaculation itself due to high prolactin/low DHT/low dopamine/high histamine/bacterial activation etc. (known as POIS post orgasmic illness syndrome) especially if normal sex or wet dreams make one feel bad too then the issue is from O itself
