What are the most common reasons why people start to lose their neurosteroid levels (progesterone, allopregnenolone etc) after turning 20+

Besides PUFAs and work stress, what are the reasons people lose their ability to create beneficial neurohormones from pregnenolone? And why 5-ar activity seems to decline. I remember being so vibrant, full of life and now everything just seems so dull and lifeless. How to get those neurosteroids back?

Degeneration of metabolism for the most part. There is no age-related reason to feel dull and lifeless. Neurosteroids are metabolic middle-men and worth no particular focus, they will normalize when your health will normalize. You might be full of heavy metals and toxins, you might have sub-par co2 tolerance or nutritional deficiencies, you might have parasites, your posture might have degraded to the point of affecting the functioning of your organs, glands and the nervous system, you might be engaging in destructive habits, vices or addictions. These are some of the most common external causes for apathy in the modern life.

How old are you now? How old before? Meeting all RDAs? How much calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, etc?

if you are a woman, take progesterone in a cream, its a neurosteroid. if you are a man, try pregnenolone, it brightens up your outlook, makes colours more vivid, and will cascade into other neurosteroids as needed. start low though, no more than 10 to 25 mgs a day.
